Automation programmes are built around time at the keyboard and the panel. Depending on the programme, exercises cover project creation, hardware and I/O configuration, ladder and function-block programming, structured text, online monitoring, alarm handling, HMI screen development, SCADA tag and trend configuration, communication setup, network diagnostics, simulation and fault-finding scenarios.

Not every exercise belongs in every programme — the practical content is confirmed against the objectives and the platform when the curriculum is written.

Duration depends on participant level, system complexity, training objectives, hardware availability and how much practical work the programme requires. Recommended structures are a starting point, not a fixed product.
